Some of the 1LT’s most outstanding features are automatic LED headlights, LED taillights, heated side mirrors, keyless entry and ignition, remote start, an 8-inch configurable graphic display, single-zone automatic climate control, a sporty flat-bottomed steering wheel, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a hidden cargo storage compartment, and a cargo area cover. The available Comfort and Convenience Package will issue a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated front seats, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The 1LT also comes with the Chevy Safety Assist bundle of advanced driving aids. It contains forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian braking, automatic high beams, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and a following distance indicator. The Driver Confidence Package is available to deliver additional safety assists, such as lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist.
One interesting driver-assist feature on the 1LT is its pedestrian safety signal, which chimes at low speeds to let pedestrians know a car is approaching. GM’s Teen Driver technology is standard as well. It’s designed to help parents encourage better behind-the-wheel habits for new drivers, which is accomplished by limiting music volume, turning on certain safety features, and keeping the vehicle from being driven until the seatbelts are buckled. What’s more, Teen Driver records things like speed and even makes a “report card” for parents to see where their new driver is doing well or needs attention.
As for infotainment, the 1LT receives the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system, which uses a 10.2-inch touchscreen. Its other features include voice recognition, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a six-speaker audio system, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Access to GM’s OnStar connected car services is also standard.
The 2LT comes with the same standard features from the 1LT, as well as the equipment listed in the optional packages. It also has ambient instrument panel lighting, a power driver’s seat, leather upholstery, and a rear-seat center armrest. This trim also gets a surround-view camera system and can be ordered with adaptive cruise control. On the multimedia front, the 2LT is eligible for the Infotainment Package, which will provide a very nice seven-speaker Bose audio system, a wireless phone charger, and two rear USB charging ports.
