2022 Chevrolet Equinox for Sale in Warwick

Overview
Chevy’s fan-favorite Equinox has returned for model year 2022 with some noteworthy new features. While the core appeal of this vehicle remains – its combination of agile handling, stylish looks, and abundant space – this latest version has a refreshed appearance. It has new front and rear bumpers, a new grille design, new LED headlights, and new LED daytime running lights. It’s even better equipped as well, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now standard. A few additional driver aids have been included to increase overall driver confidence, and a new trim level, the RS, joins the LS, LT, and Premier. This new choice is marked by sleek black exterior trim, darkened 19-inch wheels, a black interior with red stitching, and a trim-exclusive shift knob. To top it off, the Premier trim now has a black grille with chrome inserts, new available 19-inch wheel designs, and a special interior treatment with French-style stitching.
Powertrain and Fuel Economy
As mentioned, the ‘22 Equinox’s trim lineup consists of the LS, LT, RS, and Premier. All come with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 170 hp and 203 lb.-ft. of torque and is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, but all-wheel drive is a popular option here in New England. With FWD, the Equinox returns an EPA-rated 26 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. Those with AWD achieve 25 city/30 highway. If you need to pull a small trailer or boat, note that the Equinox can tow up to 1,500 pounds.
LS
The LS’s standard package includes 17-inch wheels, automatic on/off LED headlights, heated side mirrors, keyless entry, two 12-volt power outlets (one in the front and one in the cargo area), keyless ignition four USB ports (two charging and two data), a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a 60/40-split fold-flat rear seat. It even has active noise-canceling technology for a more tranquil ride. Chevy Safety Assist at this level adds some sophisticated technologies: forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, a following distance indicator, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Like all other GM vehicles, the Equinox comes with Teen Driver, a safety-enhancing system that can help new drivers by requiring seatbelt use, limiting speaker volume, monitoring driving habits, and saving data for parents to review.
For entertainment and information, the LS gets a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless smartphone integration (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a sound system with six speakers.
LT
The LT has the same driver-assist and infotainment systems as the LS. But it adds comforts in the form of remote start and a power-adjustable driver’s seat, and raises the convenience factor with an overhead console sunglasses holder and deep-tinted rear glass that helps to reduce sun glare and hide valuables that may be in sight when the vehicle is parked.
RS
The brand-new RS is set apart at a glance by its blacked-out elements (including the Chevy bowtie logos). It’s also upgraded with heated front seats, a power liftgate, dual-zone automatic climate control, roof rails, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, 19-inch wheels, and a universal home remote. Rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change alert with side blind-zone alert are added to the list of standard driver aids; adaptive cruise control and a surround-view monitor are options.
Premier
The Premier is aptly named, getting a heated steering wheel, perforated leather seats (with position memory for the driver), a hands-free liftgate, turn-signal indicators and position memory for the exterior mirrors, a 120-volt power outlet, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. It also upgrades to an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and a high-definition version of the rearview camera. For options, those who order the Premier can choose a panoramic moonroof, ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, and a deluxe infotainment system with a Bose sound system (seven speakers) and navigation. Appearance-wise, it goes back to the traditional gold bowtie emblems and replaces the 19-inch wheels with 18-inchers.
