Overview

The 2024 Blazer EV is a vehicle marked by many firsts, starting with its status as the first all-electrical Chevy to have a high-performance SS version in its lineup. With a 0-to-60 mph time of less than four seconds, the Blazer EV SS feels like a sports car in crossover clothing. It’s also the debut bowtie-branded EV in the midsized segment, offering more space and attitude than the popular Bolt EV and Bolt EUV.

With inspiration from its Camaro and Corvette stablemates, the Blazer EV embraces a sculpted exterior with few straight lines. Its contemporary design begins with geometric headlights and finishes with a rakish roof and distinct wrap-around taillights. In between, the bulging fender flares convey capability and a strong road presence. An equally modern interior highlights the latest technology, extensive passenger comforts, and room for five.

2024 Blazer EV Trims and Configurations

Blazer EV buyers can choose from the 1LT, 2LT, RS, or SS trim, each of which has the same all-electric powertrain that’s based on GM’s Ultium Platform. Front-wheel drive (FWD) is standard across the lineup, with the SS being all-wheel drive (AWD) only. AWD is an available upgrade for the 2LT and RS, and, uniquely, the RS can be ordered with rear-wheel drive as a no-cost option.

Range and charge time vary by trim, with the entry-level 1LT offering up to 247 miles of capability and the 2LT rated for 293 miles; both of those trims come with Level 2 11.5 kW charging. The range rises to 320 miles for the RS, but the SS meets the others in the middle with a projected limit of 290 miles per charge. These two higher trims have 190 kW DC fast-charging capability, which enables about 78 miles of range to be added in 10 minutes. On the performance side, the SS is expected to produce 557 horsepower and 648 lb.-ft. of torque.

2024 Blazer EV Standard Features

Chevy will reveal more details in the coming weeks, but all Blazer EVs will be equipped with LED exterior lighting (with additional light-up elements for the upper trims), an 11-inch driver information display, and a sizable 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen. Some of its other unique features will include front lights that indicate the vehicle’s charge status and a hands-free start system that engages the car with a press of the brake pedal when the key fob is in proximity.

The RS and SS also get heated and ventilated front seats (plus heated rear outboard seats for the SS), a heated flat-bottomed steering wheel, and a hands-free liftgate. The 1LT and 2LT will get 19-inch wheels, while the RS (21-inch) and SS (22-inch) will receive upgraded wheels.

Advanced Safety Technology

Every Blazer EV will get the standard Chevy Safety Assist suite: forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance indicator, and automatic high beams. Reverse automatic braking and advanced park assist will be available either as options or standard features on the deluxe trim levels. GM’s high-tech Super Cruise hands-free driver-assistance system will also be available on select trims.

Reservations and Availability

Reservations are now being accepted for the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV, with a refundable $100 deposit. Chevy anticipates the 2LT and RS will be the first available trims in the summer of 2023, followed by the SS later in the year. The 1LT is expected to hit the streets during the early months of 2024.
