Chevrolet gives you four trim choices for the 2024 Blazer: 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier. The 2LT, 3LT, and Premier get a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with an output of 228 hp and 258 lb.-ft. of torque, while the RS gets a 3.6-liter V6 making 308 hp and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. That stronger engine is optional for the 3LT and Premier. Both engines are married to a 9-speed automatic transmission, and while front-wheel drive is standard, all-wheel drive is optional.
The EPA has indicated that FWD Blazers with the 2.0-liter engine achieve an estimated 22 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. With AWD, the highway fuel economy drops slightly to 27 mpg. FWD Blazers with the V6 engine, meanwhile, return 19 city/26 highway, while AWD V6 versions are good for 18 city/26 highway.
Chevy stocks the ’24 Blazer with plenty of noteworthy features. The 2LT is one of those rare entry-level trims with remote start and proximity keyless entry. It also has automatic LED headlights, heated side mirrors, push-button ignition, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, two USB charging ports (one Type-A and one Type-C), and dual-zone automatic climate control. The 3LT adds perforated leather upholstery, roof rails, a power liftgate, auto-dimming side and rearview mirrors, a universal garage door opener, a power-adjustable front passenger’s seat, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Those with a penchant for sportiness should check out the RS, which gets the V6 plus a hands-free liftgate, a 120V power outlet, an 8-inch driver information center, ambient interior lighting, a heated steering wheel, and wireless phone charging. The Premier reverts to the 2.0-liter turbo, although the V6 remains an optional upgrade. Otherwise, its feature set mirrors that of the RS. The ’24 Blazer also qualifies for some upgrade packages, which we go over in the final section.
The ’24 Blazer comes with the Chevy Safety Assist suite of active driving aids, which bundles forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, a following distance indicator, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Rear cross-traffic alert and lane change alert with side blind-zone alert are added at the 3LT level; the RS and Premier also have rear parking sensors. What’s more, the signature Teen Driver system is standard across the board to assist new drivers in forming safe on-road habits. For those seeking even more advanced safety equipment, additional technologies are available through optional packages (see the final tab).
Both the 2LT and 3LT have the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Plus system, which is based around a 10.2-inch touchscreen and includes wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, voice recognition, a six-speaker audio system, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Buyers of the RS and Premier will get the superior Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium system with enhanced voice recognition, navigation, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system.
The 2024 Blazer offers a selection of upgrade packages to help you customize your chosen trim level. The Convenience Package for the 2LT comes with a universal garage door opener, wireless phone charging, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power liftgate, roof rails, adaptive cruise control, and enhanced automatic emergency braking. The Enhanced Convenience Package (RS and Premier) contains ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, and position memory settings (for the side mirrors, driver’s seat, and steering wheel).
The Driver Confidence Package (2LT) provides rear parking sensors, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane change alert with side blind-zone alert, while the Driver Confidence II Package (RS and Premier) groups a safety alert seat (which vibrates in the direction of a potential collision), a surround-view camera, a rear camera mirror with a built-in washer, adaptive cruise control, and improved automatic emergency braking. Finally, the Sound & Technology Package (3LT) incorporates those aforementioned driving aids, in addition to the loaded Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium system (navigation, improved voice recognition, and 8-speaker Bose unit), wireless phone charging, and a 120V power socket.
