There are three trims for the 2025 Blazer EV: LT, RS, and SS. The LT and RS are available with front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), while the SS is strictly AWD. Uniquely, the RS is also available in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) form, which maximizes range. The LT and non-RWD RS have an 85 kWh battery. The single front-axle electric motor produces 220 horsepower, which increases to a combined 300 horsepower with the dual-motor (one per axle) AWD setup. The RWD-equipped RS and AWD-only SS have a 102 kWh battery. This version of the RS produces 365 horsepower, but the SS can generate up to 615 horsepower in Wide Open Watts mode (a short-term power boost setting).
The LT and the RS with FWD are EPA-rated for a maximum range of 312 miles, which changes to 283 miles with AWD. The RS with RWD earns bragging rights with a top range of 334 miles, while the SS can travel up to 303 miles per full charge. A Blazer EV with the smaller battery can handle a peak DC fast charging input of 150 kW; this increases to 190 kW with the larger battery. Level 3/DC fast charging speed varies from 68 to 87 miles per 10 minutes of charge, depending on the drivetrain and battery. The Level 2/240-volt charging rate ranges from 20 to 35 miles per hour based on the charging hub speed, drivetrain, and battery.
Trailering is not recommended for the SS trim, but when the other trims are properly equipped, they can tow up to 1,500 pounds (the RS RWD is able to handle as much as 3,500 pounds). Cargo capacity is 25.8 cubic feet behind the second row, which expands to 59.1 when the second row is unoccupied with the seatbacks folded down. Storage capacity increases slightly on trims without a sunroof.
The entry-level LT is nicely equipped with remote start, proximity keyless entry, fabric upholstery, single-zone automatic climate control, LED headlights with automatic on/off, an 11-inch driver information display, and sound-reducing windshield glass. It also gets rear privacy glass, a rear console with an HVAC vent, power side-view mirrors, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, front and rear intermittent wipers, six USB ports (including two charge-only ports for the second row), and 19-inch aluminum wheels.
The RS adds some upscale amenities, including perforated suede and Evotex leatherette upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, wireless device charging, a heated flat-bottomed steering wheel, dual-zone automatic climate control, a hands-free tailgate, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a six-way power front passenger seat, a driver’s memory system, and animated LED exterior lighting (the lights activate at specific times, such as when it’s charging or when the driver exits the vehicle and walks away). It also comes with heated power-folding side mirrors, ambient cabin lighting, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and 21-inch aluminum wheels. The optional RS Convenience and Driver Confidence Package adds heated rear outboard seats, a head-up display, a rear camera washer, and a heated wiper park. The SS is equipped similarly to the RS with the Convenience and Driver Confidence upgrade. It also has a performance-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, unique exterior treatments, and 22-inch aluminum wheels. A dual-pane power sunroof is optional for all trims.
Every Blazer EV is set up with Chevy Safety Assist. This safety-tech grouping consists of forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, and automatic high beams. Additional standard technologies include blind-spot monitoring with steering assist, intersection automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, a surround-view monitor, rear cross-traffic braking, reverse automatic braking, rear parking sensors, rear pedestrian alert, side bicyclist alert, and GM’s Safety Alert Seat (the driver’s seat vibrates during specific safety warnings). Super Cruise hands-free highway driving is an optional for the LT and RS, but it’s standard on the SS. A set of airbags is installed on all trims, as are anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a rearview monitor.
The 2025 Chevrolet Blazer EV boasts a 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen. The oversized display incorporates Google Automotive Services for smartphone connectivity, integrated navigation, and access to popular Google apps. SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, and advanced voice recognition are also part of this system. All trims have access to a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability and OnStar services. The LT and RS have a six-speaker sound system, while the SS upgrades to a Bose setup with eight speakers.
