Trims, Configurations, and Powertrains

The Chevrolet BrightDrop Cargo Van is available in two versions: the 400 and 600. They are the same except for the wheelbase length and cargo capacity. The smaller 400 measures 153.1 inches between axles and can transport up to 412.1 cubic feet of cargo. The 600’s wheelbase is 183.5 inches, giving it 614.7 cubic feet of storage volume. Payload capacity ranges from 3,130 to 3,450 pounds, depending on the trim and powertrain. The 400 has an overall length of 238.6 inches, compared to 290 inches for the 600.

Both trims are available with single-motor front-wheel drive (FWD) or dual-motor (one per axle) all-wheel drive (AWD). The FWD system produces 233 horsepower and 300 lb.-ft. of torque, while the AWD arrangement has a combined output of 300 horsepower and 390 lb.-ft. of torque. In addition, Chevy offers three battery options. The Standard Range has a GM-estimated combined range of 159 to 164 miles (depending on the drivetrain), while the optional Extended Range increases the miles per full charge to a maximum of 204. The Max Range battery is available only in conjunction with AWD, and it increases the combined range to up to 272 miles. Each battery can charge at a rate of 160 miles per hour via Level 3/DC fast charging at 120 kW.

Standard Features

Both BrightDrop editions have numerous standard work-focused features, including remote keyless entry, remote start, a heated driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, LED exterior lighting, automatic climate control, a front passenger jump seat, a roll-up rear cargo door, a rear step bumper, an 11-inch driver information display, push-button ignition, and rain-sensing windshield wipers. The BrightDrop 400 and 600 also have a manually operated bulkhead door, two 110-volt outlets, a 12-volt auxiliary outlet, two USB ports, pre-wiring for upfitting upgrades, heated power side mirrors with puddle lamps, an all-weather front cabin floor covering, and 17-inch painted steel wheels. Both trims also come with Delivery Mode, a feature that can be programmed for automated tasks (like turning on a light or opening a door) to make deliveries more efficient. Available upgrades include power bulkhead and passenger doors and a translucent cargo area roof.

These technologies include forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, blind-zone monitoring with steering assist, lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning, intersection automatic braking, rear cross-traffic braking, reverse automatic braking, front pedestrian and bicyclist braking, and adaptive cruise control. The model’s other standard safety features include a surround-view monitor, a Safety Alert Seat (the driver’s seat vibrates for specific safety notifications), automatic high beams, speed limit assist, front and rear parking sensors, a following distance indicator, traffic sign recognition, airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, hill start assist, and a rearview monitor.
