The 2025 Equinox EV is a compact, five-passenger electric crossover available in trim levels called LT and RS. The standard setup consists of a single motor and a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD) for an output of 260 horsepower. The available dual-motor powerplant and all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) configuration produces 300 horsepower.
The FWD setup provides an EPA-estimated 319 miles of range, while the AWD configuration delivers 307 miles. For optimized energy efficiency, the Equinox EV features Regen on Demand, which converts braking energy into electricity for the battery. It also supports one-pedal driving, allowing drivers to slow down and stop using only the accelerator pedal, further maximizing range.
The base LT is nicely equipped with proximity keyless entry, remote start, cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, a 60/40-split flat-folding second-row seatback with a retractable center armrest and two cup holders, single-zone automatic climate control, an 11-inch digital driver information display, four USB-C ports (two data and two charging), full LED exterior lights (headlights, daytime running lights, and taillights), power-adjustable side mirrors, and rear privacy glass. The RS is enhanced with EvoTex upholstery, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, multi-color ambient interior lighting, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a power liftgate (AutoSense), roof-mounted side rails, heated side mirrors, and a slim LED light bar.
Some of those upgrades listed for the RS can be added to the LT through the available Comfort and Convenience packages. Both trims are eligible for further upgrades, including a dual-pane power sunroof and universal home remote.
Chevrolet prioritizes safety by installing a multitude of standard driver-assistance features in the ‘25 Equinox EV. The standard Chevy Safety Assist package consists of forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking (with front pedestrian/bicyclist detection and intersection assist), a following distance indicator, and IntelliBeam automatic high beams. Both trims also get lane keep assist with lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, reverse automatic braking, rear cross-traffic braking, blind-zone steering assist, and adaptive cruise control. The RS adds the Active Safety Package 2, which is optional for the LT. This grouping will add an HD surround-view camera, enhanced automatic emergency braking, rear pedestrian alert, and traffic sign recognition. Both trims are eligible for the Active Safety Package 3, which includes automatic parking assistance and Chevy’s Super Cruise hands-free driving technology.
The 2025 Equinox EV leads its class with a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that’s based on Google built-in technology (Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play Store). Along with that, it has onboard navigation, natural voice recognition, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 5G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming, and a six-speaker audio system.
Chevy offers a variety of upgrade packages to ramp up the comfort factor in the Equinox EV. Both trims can be ordered with the Convenience Package II, which includes ventilated front seats, a power passenger seat, heated rear outboard seats, position memory for the driver’s seat and side mirrors, a head-up display, dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated wiper park, a rear camera mirror and washer, LED headlights and daytime running lights with unique animations and walk-up lighting, and EvoTex up-level seating surfaces. With the Lifestyle Package, the ’25 Equinox EV will receive a cargo carrier mount, rooftop cross rails in black, and a trailer-hitch closeout. All-weather floor mats and a cargo area liner can be added via the All-Weather Mat Package.
