Remarkably Refined Exterior

For the 2025 model year, the stalwart Suburban will receive a series of aesthetic upgrades, the most noteworthy being a daring new front fascia inspired by Chevy’s recently refreshed pickup truck series. Every trim will get improved lighting elements, while specific grades will showcase their own unique features – such as the rugged Z71’s functional skid plates and high-approach front fascia, and the upscale High Country’s exclusive black and Galvano chrome accents. Plus, the High Country and RST trims will debut striking 24-inch wheels that amplify the Suburban’s commanding presence. To complete the exterior refresh, two new paint colors, Cypress Gray and Blue Metallic, will be added to the palette.

Technologically Advanced Cabin

The ‘25 Suburban will retain its omnipresent interior spaciousness while also introducing a range of remarkable technological improvements. The centerpiece will be a new 17.7-inch Google built-in infotainment touchscreen paired with an 11-inch gauge cluster, forming an expansive digital interface that dominates the front console. Meanwhile, the redesigned center console will supply enhanced storage solutions and a repositioned wireless phone charger. Other interior updates of note will include a new steering wheel, unique trim accents, and refined décor with various soft-touch surfaces in select trims. What’s more, the elegant High Country trim will feature authentic wood trim (a first for the Suburban), a 15-inch head-up display, perforated leather upholstery, Magnetic Ride Control, and unique badging.

Robust New Diesel Upgrade

The ‘25 Suburban will offer Chevy’s second-generation 3.0-liter inline-six Duramax turbo-diesel, delivering impressive performance with 305 hp and 495 lb.-ft. of torque – a major improvement over the outgoing diesel’s 277 hp and 460 lb.-ft. of torque. This engine, which is to be available across all trims, will be paired with a smooth-shifting 10-speed automatic transmission. The existing 5.3-liter V8 and 6.2-liter V8 engines will also be carried over, offering a range of performance options to suit diverse driving needs.

Enhanced Handling and Towing

Chevy has taken the liberty of refining the ‘25 Suburban’s driving dynamics with an updated independent multilink rear suspension. The coveted four-corner adaptive air ride suspension will now be available starting with the RST trim, offering automatic load-leveling and ride-height adjustments to accommodate various driving conditions. The Suburban’s towing capabilities have been amplified with new trailering features, too, including a trailer tire health monitor, forward path indication (which assists drivers in navigating their trailer using guidelines on the surround-view camera), boat ramp assist, trailer navigation, and a mobile trailering app with load rating information.

Superior Safety and Driver-Assistance Technologies

Safety has also been prioritized in the ‘25 Suburban, with Chevy planning to give every trim standard adaptive cruise control and a surround-view camera. Those features will be accompanied by the standard Chevy Safety Assist suite, which bundles forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking with cyclist and pedestrian detection, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, and automatic high beams. Additional standard safety features in the ’25 Suburban should include automatic parking assist, Teen Driver, and Buckle to Drive. For peak driving convenience, the ’25 Suburban will be eligible for the innovative Super Cruise hands-free driving system.
