The 2026 lineup consists of four variations: LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS. Each trim comes standard with front-wheel drive (FWD), with the option to upgrade to all-wheel drive (AWD). The entry-level LS and mid-tier LT have a turbocharged 1.2-liter three-cylinder generating 137 horsepower, while the ACTIV and RS benefit from a more spirited turbocharged 1.3-liter three-cylinder that puts out 155 horsepower. This more potent engine also comes with the all-wheel-drive configurations of the LS and LT. Front-drive editions get a continuously variable transmission (CVT), while all-wheel-drive versions receive a nine-speed automatic gearbox.
Fuel economy ratings for the 2026 model hadn’t been released at the time of this writing, but we expect them to be in line with the 2025 model, where the base engine with FWD achieved 30 mpg city and 31 mpg highway. The 1.3-liter turbo engine returns 29 mpg around town and 33 mpg on the open road with FWD, while this engine with AWD will give you 26 city/29 highway. Storage capacity measures 25.3 cubic feet with all seats in use, expanding to 54.4 cubic feet when the rear bench is folded forward. When it’s equipped properly, the 2026 Trailblazer can handle a light trailer load of up to 1,000 pounds.
The base LS has automatic LED headlamps, fabric upholstery, manually set air conditioning, push-button ignition, a tilt-and-telescopic steering column, cruise control, an 8-inch driver information display, power side-view mirrors, a fold-flat front passenger seatback (to increase cargo-carrying length), dual USB ports, and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The LT is improved with remote start, proximity keyless entry, heated front seats, rear privacy glass, heated power side-view mirrors, roof-mounted side rails, and LED daytime running lights.
The adventure-oriented ACTIV is well-suited for modest off-road outings, thanks to a custom-tuned suspension, a skid plate, sport-terrain tires, upgraded shock absorbers, and titanium chrome-plated front and rear lower fascias. Other standard features for the ACTIV include Evotex (leatherette) upholstery, a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, special exterior styling, and LED taillights. The performance-inspired RS replaces the ACTIV’s rugged elements with sportier amenities, including upholstery in a combination of Evotex and fabric, trim-specific front and rear lower fascias, and unique 19-inch aluminum wheels.
There are quite a few options available for the ‘26 Trailblazer. The LT and above can be equipped with the Convenience Package, which has automatic climate control, wireless device charging, dual second-row USB ports, a 120-volt outlet, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror. With the LT, this optional bundle adds an eight-way power driver’s seat and a power liftgate, while a hands-free power liftgate and LED logo projection are included as well for the ACTIV and RS. The LS Convenience Package adds rear privacy glass and remote start to the entry-level trim. A power panoramic sunroof can be added to any trim but the LS.
Chevy Safety Assist is standard with the 2026 Trailblazer. It consists of forward collision alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, and automatic high beams. Blind-spot monitoring with lane change alert, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors are optional on all trims. Adaptive cruise control is available on the LT and higher. Every Trailblazer is given a rearview monitor, ten airbags, anti-lock brakes, stability control, and traction control.
An 11-inch infotainment touchscreen is standard across the 2026 Trailblazer’s trim range. This system has wireless Android Auto, wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, and an audio system with six speakers. A seven-speaker Bose sound system is optional for the RS and ACTIV. All trims are set up with Wi-Fi hotspot capability and access to OnStar for emergency support, vehicle monitoring, and remote services.
