2026 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray

2026 Chevrolet
Corvette Stingray

Chevrolet’s eighth-generation Corvette rolls into 2026 with an overhauled interior and select new options. While the mid-engine architecture and robust V8 carry over, the cabin sees some meaningful updates. The center-console “button wall” is gone in favor of a cleaner design that opens the space between the driver and passenger. Chevy has also added new exterior colors and fresh technology to keep the C8 Corvette competitive among high-end sports cars.

Meanwhile, the new cockpit brings together three digital displays: a 14-inch driver information screen, a 12.7-inch central touchscreen, and a 6.6-inch auxiliary touchscreen to the left of the steering wheel. These screens provide crisper graphics, more flexible layouts, and updated drive-mode animations. Chevy has also repositioned the drive-mode selector next to the gear shifter, clearing space for a wireless phone charging pad under a sliding cover. The climate controls sit below the central screen, and the passenger now has a grab handle and a USB-C port. Beyond that, the higher trims gain illuminated, aluminum-trimmed cupholders and an optional carbon-fiber display hood over the driver’s screen. We concentrate on the 2026 Corvette Stingray; please see our separate pages on the Corvette E-Ray, Z06, ZR1, and ZR1X variants.

Trims and Powertrain

Chevrolet offers three trims for the ‘26 Corvette Stingray: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT. They’re each available as a coupe with removable roof panels or as a convertible with a retractable hardtop. Their power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 engine making 490 horsepower and 465 lb.-ft. of torque. With the available Z51 Performance Package, the output will increase to 495 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque. An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission sends power to the rear-wheel drivetrain. This model’s EPA-rated fuel economy is 16 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

Standard Features

The 1LT has essential performance hardware, starting with a Corvette-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, a variable-assist speed-sensitive steering system, and an electronic limited-slip differential. Staggered aluminum wheels – 19-inch alloys in front and 20-inchers in back – complete the setup. This base trim’s other standard amenities include remote start, eight-way power GT1 sport seats upholstered in leather with perforated inserts, dual-zone automatic climate control, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlights, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, a 14-inch driver information display, proximity keyless entry, push-button ignition, a digital rearview mirror, heated power side mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, wireless device charging, and two USB ports.

The 2LT adds more comfort and technology, including heated and ventilated seats upgraded with additional position and memory settings for both occupants. It also introduces a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, dual wireless device charging pads, a performance data and video recorder, and power-folding mirrors with driver’s-side auto-dimming. At the top, the 3LT builds on this foundation with GT2 sport seats trimmed in Nappa leather and extended leather wrapping on the upper instrument panel, console, and door panels. The headliner and sun visors are finished in microfiber for an upscale touch.

Advanced Driver Aids and Safety Technology

Every 2026 Corvette Stingray comes with a number of driver-assistance technologies, including forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and bicyclist detection, lane-keeping assist with lane departure warning, rear parking sensors, and automatic high beams. The 2LT and 3LT add additional confidence features such as blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a front-view parking camera with a curb monitor. Airbags are standard as well, along with anti-lock brakes, stability control, traction control, and a rearview camera.

Infotainment and Connectivity

All 2026 Corvette Stingray trims use a 12.7-inch touchscreen running Google built-in with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, Bluetooth, SiriusXM satellite radio, 5G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and access to GM’s OnStar services. The 1LT comes with a ten-speaker Bose audio system, while the 2LT and 3LT are upgraded with integrated navigation and four additional speakers.
