Trims, Powertrains, and Performance
The 2026 Silverado EV offers buyers the choice of three trims called Custom, LT, and Trail Boss. They all receive two motors – one front and one rear – with battery capacities available in Standard Range, Extended Range, and Max Range. The Custom gets the Standard Range battery and puts out 510 horsepower and 490 lb.-ft. of torque. The LT is eligible for any of the three batteries, with output of 510 hp/580 lb.-ft. with the Standard Range, 645 hp and 765 lb.-ft. with the Extended Range, and 760 hp and 765 lb.-ft. with the Max Range. The Trail Boss comes with either the Extended Range battery (625 hp and 775 lb.-ft.) or the Max Range battery (725 hp and 775 lb.-ft.).
The LT and Trail Boss with the Max Range battery lead the lineup in efficiency, returning a GM-estimated 478-mile driving range. The LT and Trail Boss Extended Range follow, achieving a 410-mile range. Next is the Standard Range Custom, which can drive an estimated 286 miles on a full charge, followed by the Standard Range LT at 283 miles. The LT and Trail Boss with the Extended Range battery lead the pack in towing with a 12,500-pound trailer limit.
The Standard and Extended Range battery packs come with an 11.5-kW-capable onboard charging module, while the Max Range battery moves up to a 19.2-kW module. All trims with a dual-level (compatible with 120-volt level 1 or 240-volt level 2) charging cord. The Silverado EV can charge an estimated 120 miles of range (as estimated by GM) in 10 minutes using 350-kW DC fast charging. Vehicle-to-home power transfer is standard across the lineup, enabling the Silverado EV to power a home or building during an electricity outage.
The sole configuration for the Silverado EV unites a crew cab with a 5-foot, 11-inch bed. Every trim is outfitted with dual-motor electronic four-wheel drive (4WD) and electronic precision shift. The Custom sits 8.06 inches off the ground, and the LT has 8.23 inches of ground clearance; both ride on 4-wheel independent suspension. The Trail Boss stands taller than its siblings, with 10.5 inches of total ground clearance, thanks to a 2-inch factory lift, and boasts a high-stance coil suspension with a hydraulic rebound control system. It also gets Sidewinder diagonal steering and an exclusive Terrain Mode, enabling active four-wheel steering for improved traction at low speeds.
