The Chevrolet Suburban is Chevrolet's longest-running nameplate, dating back to 1935 – although back then it was called the Suburban Carryall. The 2026 model continues to offer three available powertrains: two gas-burning V8s and a six-cylinder turbo-diesel. It’s also the only SUV besides the Tahoe that can be configured to seat up to nine passengers – and by that we mean adults, not small children. The trims carry rosters of standard equipment ranging from family-focused to off-road ready, with an abundance of optional packages to add equipment to suit the buyer’s wishes.


New for 2026, every Suburban adds a key card entry system, and all but the base trim get a standard interior camera that provides a convenient view of the rear-seat passengers. It also leads its class in maximum cargo space (144.5 cubic feet), infotainment system size 17.7 inches), and highway driving range per full tank (up to 728 miles), with an available class-largest head-up display (15 inches).
